Mom and dad had been complaining about poor air quality in their lake house. The lake house had been part of our family since I was 13 years old. However, when mom and dad retired from their careers, they opted to sell my childhood home. The community around the lake house had really grown, and it was such a wonderful place to live. So, the second home became their main house once the other one sold. To be honest, I always wanted to live in the lake house, but they said no. Back then, the area was a bit remote, and it would have been a two hour commute to and two hours from their respective workplaces. So, they chose to keep the lake house as a second home, and we lived in the city. Now, they find more time to relax and enjoy the lake community. However, mom and dad told me they were having issues with indoor air quality. Since I live in the city, the only solution I could accord was for them to contact a HVAC business. However, she felt this was the best thing to do, and save money. Well, her worst fear came true when the AC failed and now her home was without air conditioning. Fortunately, she found a local HVAC company to do a replacement for her, and even landed a great deal on the new HVAC system. Now, she won’t be worried about her houseplants for quite some time.

For a long time, Jake has always wanted to own a mountain house. He recalls one time his parents took him on a short vacation to the most beautiful mountain house. His mom is an interior decor expert, and the owner had contracted her to add furniture and furnishings. Jake’s mom threw herself into the job and had the best time. It’s one of the most charming places we have ever been too, and all our friends agree. Each summer, starting from as early as the end of May, we have people staying at the cottage. However, we always make sure to spare about two weeks so we could also go and relax. One of the reasons we love the cottage is it’s within driving distance from the biggest lake in our state. Summertime is busy and so much fun at the lake, and we also get to be outside for many hours. Well, our friends were the last people at the cottage before it was our turn to go and enjoy a short vacation. We always check to see if they had a wonderful time, and they confirmed they did. The only issue was the window AC that wasn’t as effective anymore. We have always had a window AC at the cottage. This was the best cooling system we could get that didn’t cost too much money to buy and set up. At the time we got the cottage, we didn’t have lots of money to add a central HVAC system. So, this is why we opted to get the window AC unit. It had been almost a decade, and we knew it was time for an upgrade. Our guests were right about the window AC’s performance. So, we did some research on the right unit to add to the cottage. We could always go with the option of forced air units. However, that meant also incurring the cost of adding air ducts to the cottage. The second and best option was to install ductless systems in the property. At the end, we chose to take three ductless units and set them up in the cottage to keep everyone comfortable during their stay.

I recommended that my son call Davis to come and fix his cooling system. Davis is his childhood friend, and he is now a heating and AC technician. We first met Davis and his parents when my son and I moved to the area. I had landed a great job in this new city, and we got a house to rent in the neighborhood. Davis and his parents lived on the opposite side of the street and came over to say hello. While the movers took everything inside and began unpacking, we sat at the patio and had a chat. Our boys became fast friends, and this continued when my son joined the same school as Davis. They would later go to the same high school, but they didn’t choose the same college. Davis opted not to go to university, and went to train to become a heating and AC technician. My son, on the other hand, wanted to work as an accountant. He’s always been good with numbers, so this was an excellent choice. The two friends kept in touch, and would link up when my son came back home. My partner and I have always wanted to go camping in the woods. But, we disagreed on how to do it. I am more of a tent on the ground kind of girl. I’d also go to the bathroom in the woods. However, my partner is more boujee. He grew up in the suburbs where his mom kept the house spotless. So, to him, dust and bugs are a huge issue. I, on the other hand, grew up on a farm, and I truly enjoy the outdoors and being one with nature. I am not sure how we hooked up in college, but we have been together for 8 years, and been married 3. Soon, we plan on starting a family, so I wanted us to have an adventure. So, we compromised and got a camper van. The trip turned out to be the best experience, and I even got him to lie on the ground one lovely night and enjoy the stars in the sky. When we got back home, it was on a chilly fall evening, so I wanted to turn on the furnace to stay warm. I tried, and even asked my partner to do the same, but our furnace failed to work. This wasn’t a good sign since our area gets chilly fast. Judging by how cold it was getting, winter wasn’t too far away so we had to act fast. We had to contact the HVAC expert pronto to come and fix the faulty furnace. That evening we used a spare space heater to stay warm, then we had the HVAC expert over at the house the following afternoon.

Marion called me last week asking what time I was getting out of work.

Marion is my baby sister, and I’ve always had her back. I guess that’s the role of a big sister. Whenever she had any issue as a kid, Marion knew her big sister would take care of it. Little has changed since then, and I actually love that she can call me when she has any issues. Like when she was searching for a house to buy, I was the one that Marion called to take her house hunting. I’ve been a HVAC tech for many years, and that’s given me access to many houses. That’s actually how I came across my first house. I was in the area fixing a heating system for a customer, and we happened to talk about her neighborhood. I told her I was looking for a house, and this looked like a great place to live. A few days later she called with news that a house was coming into the market the coming summer, but she could talk with the owner and I could view it before that time. And, that’s how I ended up with my current home. I helped Marion also find a house not too far from me, and also did work on her heating and cooling systems. She didn’t want to change the AC at the time, so I made sure to give it a good tune up. But, I’ve always mentioned she has to replace it. Marion was transplanting flowers when the AC failed so she called me to advise her on the best unit to purchase.

I really savor going for a run in addition to having the chance to savor my surroundings

I travel a good deal for work; I savor experiencing modern places in addition to making an effort to explore the area, unluckyly, my time is limited. I spend long hours standing in airport terminals, standing in line to get a rental car in addition to standing in conference rooms, but being away from household can be difficult. I sleep in hotel beds as often as I do my own, then when I first started my task, I had problems with insomnia, migraines in addition to aching joints. I acquired quite a bit of weight in addition to felt unhealthy in addition to even a bit depressed. I’ve since learned to take better care of myself. When I arrive at my endpoint, I stop at a grocery store in addition to purchase bottled water, yogurts, granola bars, plums, bananas, grapes, carrots in addition to many fruits in addition to vegetables that are easy to consume. I try to stay in hotels that include a fitness center; Sporadically these facilities are little more than a single treadmill in addition to an elliptical, but other hotels supply a full selection of equipment, including free weights, stationary bikes, medicine balls, incline benches in addition to more. I often am required to workout at genuinely odd hours. I might be in the fitness room first thing in the afternoon or genuinely late at night. I am especially excited when the hotel includes a swimming pool. I’ve learned to pack a jump rope, resistance bands in addition to running shoes in my suitcase. When there is no designated fitness room, I can still manage to get a good workout. I really savor going for a run in addition to having the chance to savor my surroundings.
