Waiting for money for the new HVAC
I kept glancing at my phone to see if there was a notification from the bank that Greg had deposited the money to buy a new HVAC.
The money was meant for our son’s upkeep, but since I took care of the rest, I was going to use the money to hire a new contractor to take care of the air conditioning installation.
I had done my homework when it came to heat and AC products, and I was sure of what I wanted. Despite that, I still consulted an HVAC professional just to be sure that I had chosen the right cooling equipment. If I asked Greg for money to purchase a quality HVAC, he would flat-out refuse, so I had to use my ways. We had everything we needed; what was remaining was an air conditioning system with energy-efficient cooling technology plus a programmable thermostat to seal the deal. The cooling expert confirmed that I had made an excellent choice and I could go ahead and make the purchase. The HVAC tech advised me on the best air conditioning filter. I was going to get the best out of the cooling industry. A day passed, and then three, and he was yet to send the money. I started to get that crippling feeling I got when he pulled a fast one on me, which was a specialty of his. It was time to get back to the drawing board and see where I could cut back so that I could raise the money faster. I did not bother asking since he would ignore my call and message, or he would offer the usual lies. Two weeks later, Greg sent the money. I was so shocked because it was nothing short of a miracle. He even sent extra money, which was very unlike him.
