The negative effects of skipping maintenance

There are many negative effects of skipping out on your HVAC maintenance.

  • Many people, when they first get their new central air conditioner or furnace, want to get their new HVAC unit checked up on every month, but as time goes by, they decided every two months or so is best to have an HVAC technician come by, and then more time goes by and before you know it, they stop scheduling an HVAC technician to come do air conditioner or furnace maintenance all together.

This is a serious problem. Many problems occur that could be avoided if the owners of the HVAC units had simply scheduled for a technician to come see their furnace or air purifier. One of the many consequences of low maintenance on furnaces is house fires. Almost all house fires caused by a faulty furnace or heating system could be avoided by simply having an HVAC technician come by once a month. Other problems involve increased sickness or allergies because the air ducts in the home get very dirty, and need a good cleaning. When a dirty air duct gets used, the air conditioner or furnace blow old dust particles all over your home! It is important you hire an HVAc technician to clean your air ducts at least once every two months in order to keep allergies and sickness to a minimum. One last major problem is having a faulty central air conditioner. Central air conditioners are very large and complicated HVAC units, therefore, there are a lot of things that could go wrong over time. It is important to have an HVAC technician check your central air conditioner monthly for small problems. If you catch the problems when they are small, the life of your air conditioner will be much longer.
