The holes in the roof aren’t leaking yet, but it's soft
My mom and dad called me a couple of days ago.
I went over to the house to have dinner with my family. We had soup that my mom made from scratch. The soup had onions, potatoes, cabbage, and parsley. My mom also made homemade banana bread to go with the soup. While we were eating dinner, my dad brought up the subject of the roof. I knew that my mom and dad were thinking about getting a brand new roof for the house. I workin roofing and I figured that;s why they called me. After dinner, my dad asked if I could take a look at the roof. It was still light outside, so I grabbed a ladder so I could get up to the top. The ladder was rusty and in bad shape. I cut my finger on the side of it and I told my dad he needed to get a new ladder. The roof was in pretty poor shape to be honest. There were several soft spots. One spot was bad and I was very surprised that the roof had not started leaking into the house yet. I told my dad that the job was too big for me to do on a Saturday. My dad was going to have to pay for the roofing company to complete the repairs. I got my parents a 20% discount on the residential roofing repairs. My buddy and I and a crew of two other guys are going to complete the roofing repairs next weekend when there are three days of sun in a row.
