The first year was a blanket warranty.
When the two of us purchased our new HVAC system, the two of us had a full substitutement warranty for the first year only, but for the next more than one years, the two of us acquired a partial warranty.
When I asked what the full substitutement warranty covered, they said it was a blanket warranty that would even allow us to get a new HVAC method for nothing should there be any problems.
This sounded like a wonderful system to me, however I wasn’t a specialist on HVAC systems or warranties. All I knew was what my father said. You knew when the warranty ended, because the appliance broke down. I thought she was kidding, however I was soon to find out she wasn’t. We purchased our HVAC method early in the fall, after the two of us needed a/c plus before the two of us needed heating. They substituted all the ductwork, installed a new furnace, a/c unit, plus an air purification method for the whole house. Two days after our warranty ended, the air purification method quit working. I called the HVAC business, plus they sent an HVAC specialist out to the house. She told my wife that the two of us needed a new UV light, which the two of us did not suppose would be too costly, but the HVAC tech wasn’t done. When the two of us turned off the a/c plus were going without A/C or heat, there was nothing to keep the air purification method running. It depended on the a/c or heating method to keep it running. I asked if it was possible to have it running independently, plus she said the warranty was over plus the two of us would need to spend my savings for that service.
