The first time i did this
I have been a certified heating and air conditioning specialist for the last 8 years.
And until the other day I had thought that I did every type of heating and air conditioning installation possible.
Well, I was wrong. In all this time I had my very first heat pump installation job last week. It was an experience I will tell you that. And I have to admit that I really did not know what I was doing fully. I had to have someone come with me to show me the ropes on installing one of these geothermal heat pumps. The heat pump installation was not as simple or even close to installing your standard central heating and air conditioning system. It wasn’t even close to installing a furnace or a boiler. The geothermal heat pump was a very complex kind of heating and air conditioning company installation! I won’t even go into all the details of everything that had to be done because unless you too are a certified heating and air conditioning specialist, you would not understand what I was talking about anyhow. But I will just tell you that this was an all day job. It was not a simple 4 hour installation like a central heating and air conditioning system or even radiant heated floors. Installing a geothermal heat pump is very complicated. I certainly hope I do not have another one of these jobs again anytime in the near future. It was really a work out on me all around.
