The bank said the check was a fraud
Periodically a conman is entirely good & they can convince the smartest man to throw away all of their money.
That almost happened to me in a way. I own a supplier that sells heating & air conditioner appliances, but business was slow, although I was getting by. My family & I were barely residing off the proceeds from the heating & air conditioner appliance store. My partner had to labor a part-time job at the Borders so we had enough money to feed the adolescents. One day a gentleman with an accent came to the heating & air conditioner appliance store. He wanted to buy a dozen Heating, Ventilation & A/C window units for a property that he bought downtown. I was beyond excited when I found out that the guy wanted to spend that much money in our store. I contacted the bank when the guy wanted to spend our savings with a check. The bank verified the check & I went beach house & told our partner & adolescents all about the attractive day that we had at the store. 3 mornings later, the bank contacted me at the heating & air conditioner appliance store. The bank supervisor needed me to come down to the bank to verify some information regarding the check. It sounded strange, although I did not mind going to the bank. After all, it was a little odd to get such a giant check from 1 man. When the bank supervisor told me that the check was fraud, I thought he must have the information wrong. I called the bank to verify the funds. The bank told me that they never acquired a call.
