The air conditioner broke at our dance competition
My boy has been a dancer for more than 2 years, so I know you could call me a dance mom. We had a dance competition last weekend that absolutely made me reconsider whether or not I wanted to be a dance mom though. The entire cooling system stopped toiling during the competition, and it was so dramatic. The other moms and I stormed over to the maintenance staff to see if they had any insight as to why the cooling system wasn’t toiling and when it would be fixed. I personally did not want our team to perform without air conditioner because some of them have asthma and would have difficulty breathing while doing such intense movement. The maintenance staff said they contacted their professional who would come and do a repair on the HVAC. I really didn’t understand why a professional wasn’t already available and onsite for the issue, however I know this is the way they do things at that site. The professional finally showed up and repaired the issue after the competition was delayed for about an hour. All of the men were freaking out because they felt like their makeup was melting off, so they were relieved when the cooling system kicked on again. I was so proud of the team for doing such an amazing job during their performance, despite the hiccups every one of us experienced that morning! They didn’t win first place, however they did place and gained a lot of recognition for their choreography and outfits. My boy was absolutely enthusiastic once every one of us got apartment because those days are always long for her.
