Spring and Fall are the best months to schedule HVAC service
As we inch closer to Summer and with rising temperatures, it’s a good time to think about HVAC maintenance.
Personally, before I switch my HVAC unit from heating to cooling, I schedule maintenance with my HVAC serviceman.
Typically, I schedule the service in late April because the weather will be pleasant until then. April is also a great time to schedule HVAC service because it’s right before the busy Summer season. I made the mistake of waiting until the Summer to get my HVAC unit service and it took my HVAC serviceman 3 days before he was able to service my unit. It was then that he advised me that HVAC is a seasonal industry, where some months are busier than others. So, Summer is always a busy season for HVAC technicians. And of course, Winter is another busy time as well. More people are using their HVACs during those months, so it makes sense that HVAC providers will receive more service calls during that time. Therefore, if you would like to schedule maintenance for your HVAC unit, the best time to do it would be in the Spring or the Fall months. Anyway, I scheduled my appointment for the end of April, and I am currently doing some of my own maintenance on my HVAC unit. I purchased a new air filter that I will install once the service is completed, and I have cleaned away the dust from around my vents. I need to clean away the debris from the outdoor condenser. My HVAC serviceman will take care of the rest of the maintenance that is needed.
