She’d fail an audit if she used an unapproved a/c unit
Business is booming at Lucy’s fast food place.
She does her best to keep the staff and patrons feeling good.
Lucy knows she can do more though but it’s not easy to get corporate to understand that she needs to be better for her employees. Lucy is happy, most of the staff is happy, the patrons seem to be happy but there are 4 employees that would appreciate some changes made, mainly her cooks. They honestly don’t appreciate the conditions they work in and would prefer to see a portable air conditioning unit put near the boiler they use. Lucy understands the sparks and the heat it gives off is a lot for a person to handle. Her cooks do a lot and Lucy should find some way to accommodate them. She tried a fan but that wasn’t nice enough. One of the employees asked if they obtained one could they just bring it in. Sadly, Lucy had to tell the employee that unless it’s corporate approved there is nothing she can do about it. She doesn’t need a surprise audit to come in and fail because they used an unapproved air conditioning unit. Lucy asked her local Heating and A/C provider if he had ideas but there honestly wasn’t anything he could do unless the folks at corporate approved it. The other day, Lucy had some fantastic news. She was able to fit a new a/c device in the store for her cooks. Lucy knows they will be happy to know that she can finally provide them something they wanted. They should know just as important as everyone else but, they will have to wait 2 weeks until they get the device in.
