Portable air conditioner is super heavy

When my sibling moved across the country, she provided me her very aged window air conditioner.

The unit was so immense & heavy that it was hard to install into the window.

I had trouble lifting it by myself. Once the air conditioner was in location, clogged in & operational, it provided a tremendous amount of frigid air. It could cool down my study room in a matter of hours. It supplies so much air that the whole hour story of the home felt significantly cooler. The unit was terribly noisy & tended to drip water on my carpet, even though I enjoyed it. It was such a relief to step inside a cool study room at the end of a long, hot morning. No matter how high the outside temperature or humidity, my study room was downright cold. With that window air conditioner running, I slept under heavy blankets in the middle of June. The biggest complication with the air conditioner was storing it for the winter. It took up a lot of space, & I had no room for it somewhere but in the attic. The attic stairs are exceptionally steep, narrow & taxing to navigate. Trying to haul that enormous cooling unit up those stairs wasn’t simple. I’d then need to manage to carry it back down again in the Springtime. I often hurt my back because of it. Two years ago, I lost control of the air conditioner as I was attempting to bring it down the attic stairs. I dropped it & the unit tumbled end over end to the bottom. It caused damage to the stairs & ended up in many pieces. When I went to the store to purchase a new window air conditioner, I was very amazed at the compact & lightweight chances available.
