Out with the old and in with the new
I use a furnace to take care of my heating in the cold winter months of the year.
I would much rather have a furnace than a central heating and air conditioning system.
As a matter of fact, my air conditioning is provided through 2 window air conditioning units. I feel that central heating and cooling is just too expensive to run. I had it once a long time ago in a house I was renting when I got out of school. And I would never ever get central heating and air conditioning for my own home I decided after seeing the super high electric bills because of it! But let me tell you, I had an electric furnace that lately has been giving me those same high electric bills in the winter. Because of it being electric, it is really no different than a central heating and air conditioning system. But it does save a little money. I decided I was going to get rid of the electric furnace for this reason and get myself a gas furnace instead. Yes I know you are probably thinking “is this person crazy?”, but I am not afraid of gas products. I know how to take care of them and how to make a gas furnace safe. The removal of the electric furnace and the installation of the new gas furnace was very expensive and was a big thing. I had to take off from work to have it done. But when it was all done, my house was heating just as good as the electric furnace was!
