New apartment is tepid upstairs, insulation

Whenever the dwelling inspector stuck his head up into the attic, he let us know that that present insulation was in disappointing shape.

I know I should not be surprised. I definitely should expect this, and should have no disadvantage feelings about this fact. However, I can’t help however to feel disgruntled and defeated with this most recent development. What’s going on, you ask? My upstairs level of my dwelling is ungodly hot. Again, however yes, I have lived in a dwelling with a similar floor plan before, and yup, the tepid air accumulation upstairs was exactly the same. I know I was naive to suppose that our air quality would be any different in this up-to-date home, however I believe I fell victim to wishful thinking… Rather than entering our brand up-to-date dwelling with the adequate expectation that our upstairs kitchens would constantly be ten degrees warmer than the rest of the house, no matter the thermostat settings, I actually hoped that a higher quality cooling system and dwelling construction would circumvent this air quality nightmare. Well, dreams don’t constantly come true. It turns out that our top floor is just as tepid and humid as could be. Sure, it doesn’t help that our AC unit is well over 10 years old, however I’m also pretty sure that the lack of attic insulation isn’t helping our cause either. Whenever the dwelling inspector stuck his head up into the attic, he let us know that that present insulation was in disappointing shape. There was little heat being trapped inside or outside of the dwelling with the 2 inches of old insulation present, and he suggested my nice friend and I have it updated right away for energy efficiency. Well, my nice friend and I had nice intentions in demanding that the seller updated the insulation, however they had their own ideas about energy expenditure! By that, I mean they spent as little energy as possible to install yet another layer of disappointing quality insulation. Now the dwelling is all ours, and our top floor is still as tepid as ever.
