When we moved for our partner’s job I didn’t realize how far off the beaten path we would be living, his future employers told us there were no businesses nearby even though I didn’t realize they meant that there was literally nothing. You can’t even get internet out here unless it is satellite internet, and the closest store is over an hour away so there absolutely is nothing to do out here. Thankfully I appreciate spending time in nature. However, on Sunday I noticed that the air filter in our new home needed changing. I went into the neighborhood for a new filter and, believe it or not, I forgot the air filter. I got a bunch of groceries, some gardening supplies, but no air filter. That meant that I had to make another trip into the neighborhood on Sunday. I can’t risk letting the HVAC system get ruined, after all. Well, when I got to the store I noticed that their air filter supply was pretty limited. They mostly had cheap air filters. They did, however, have a reusable air filter. I had never heard of a reusable air filter before. I took advantage of the store’s wifi and looked up reusable air filters to see if they were any good. I discovered that they are, and reusable air filters can last up to 12 years. You just scrub them off every week or so. This is perfect! Now I won’t have to worry about forgetting to buy an air filter again in the foreseeable future. I can just rinse this one off. That’s perfect.
