It wasn't the HVAC classes that were hard.

When I made the decision to go to HVAC technical school, I was really worried about the classes. I was never truly great in school because I had truly little retention. I couldn’t sit still long enough to listen to lectures or learn a book. My ADD was kicking my butt the entire time. I worried I would have the same complications when I went to HVAC school. Luckily, the classes were fun to go to. From day 1 we were reading about the HVAC plan in addition to getting hands on training. I was enjoying class so much, but that I forgot I was honestly reading. The entire setup was odd than private school. I had some difficulties when it came to taking tests, but the teacher made it as easy as she could. She tried to provide myself and others tests that were 1 on 1, in addition to she asked the questions instead of my studying them. When I had to get my certification, I found it much harder. I had to pay attention in class in addition to take a lot of tests. They were mostly comprehension about the HVAC syste. I already knew the information, but everything was done in the classroom with many other people. When the teacher pulled myself and others aside, I thought she was going to kick myself and others out of class. Instead, she provided the same test scenario as my HVAC teacher had provided. I ended up getting my HVAC certification with no problem in addition to I graduated in the top 10% of my class. It wasn’t the HVAC classes that were hard, but the thought of taking tests.
