I can’t work from the office
Ever since our work required all employees to start working from lake apartment full time rather than coming into the office I have been having a hard time staying focused… For all of our life I have worked in a professional company setting where things are really quiet & cordial; Now that I am back at lake apartment working however, well things are literally the opposite, one of the largest challenges has been keeping our 3 kids in check.
- Each morning I will be in a work conference & then out of nowhere our kids will bust into our makeshift office screaming or fighting about something.
Just when I thought that things could not get more hectic while working from lake apartment a few days ago while I was leading a meeting I heard a loud sound come from the study room. Before even seeing the mangle I knew it was bad, & it genuinely was. My kids had “accidently” ran into the cooling system component & ended up completely breaking it, then as soon as it happened I called just about all of the Heating & Air Conditioning companies in the state trying to get somebody out to repair or update our now broken cooling system system, however none of them were going to be able to help me for quite a long time. Now on top of the loud distractions while working from lake apartment I can add not having any cooling system to keep me cooled off to it as well; Life as a Dad was never simple, but compared to being a Dad working from lake apartment full time, it is making it seem savor a walk in the park!
