Heating & A/C issue seems a bit ridiculous
I’m not putting up a fence & the hedge is growing all the time
I’m not great at dealing with genuinely unreasonable people, however so when it comes to the HOA in our planned community, it has been a real headache. The unreasonable section of this is the fact that this is all over just a minor Heating & A/C issue. I do not have an old vehicle up on blocks in our yard or have a profane flag flying from our house. No, it’s just the easy fact that the Heating & A/C unit can now be seen from the street. Of course, this is just temporary & will be remedied soon. On top of that, you have to be at a just almost perfect angle even to see any of the heating & cooling equipment. But this all started about a month ago when the hedge we have screening the Heating & A/C unit got some sort of blight & died! We’re fortunate to live in the south where things grow pretty much year round. But still, it’s going to take a little bit for this hedge to get to the height where it completely screens the Heating & A/C equipment. And this is the rub with the HOA. The HOA was immediately sending me nasty grams & threatening to fantastic me yearly if I didn’t put up a fence. I tried our best to reason with these people & explained about the privacy hedge. But this didn’t seem to even register with them. I’m not putting up a fence & the hedge is growing all the time. So if they start fining me, I’ll just have to push back with a lawyer or something. That seems just so absurd to me over something as insignificant as seeing Heating & A/C unit from the road.
