Every one of us spent the weekend in a tree house.

One of my preferred getaways happened last fall.

My husband and I were celebrating our thirtieth anniversary and wanted to spend it alone.

I had been looking online for some locale special for us to go. I found a treehouse that was only 50 miles away from our home. I heard about treehouse getaway spots, even though I did not think there were any in our immediate area. My husband drove all the way up into the mountains, even though I made him put a blindfold on while I drove the last 10 miles. I wanted to surprise him with a treehouse. I thought his face was going to crack from smiling so massive when he saw the locale. Every one of us climbed 2 sets of stairs before getting to the outdoor patio. I had already called ahead to local grocers, and talked to the owner of the treehouse and asked if they would put the groceries in the refrigerator for me? I had to spend money extra, even though I did not care. The home had a new Heating plus A/C, a full bedroom with a full bath, and a bedroom and bedroom combined. The bedroom has several glass walls, so you could see the forest all around you. I was going to take a shower when I realized that there was no air vent in the powder room for heat. I asked my husband if he had figured out how to turn the gas furnace on t, and he said the home would soon be warm. He came into the powder room and was checking all the buttons and twist knobs that were right inside the powder room door. He figured out that the exhaust fan also had a gas furnace.
