Customer rating system – tech threatens me

Apparently things are getting a little too competitive when it comes to the central heating, cooling, and air quality control industry in this area.

It makes sense that there is a big emphasis on indoor air temperature control and air handling devices around here. The outdoor climate is an absolute nightmare most of the year. You never know if you are going to be suffering through hot and humid days that feel impossible to survive because of the oppressive outdoor climate. Or, the other option is receiving bitterly cold air temperatures with unpredictable snow storms and icy patches. Either way, you require a powerful central heating, cooling, and air quality control system to keep you and your family safe and comfortable. This is why there are so many indoor air handling control companies located in one town. This is apparently also why several of the HVAC dealerships have started customer rating systems for each of their heating and cooling technicians. I understand why they want to pinpoint the most effective indoor air handling control workers in the county, but it seems like this emphasis on heating, cooling, and ventilation rating is actually having a negative effect on the customer service we receive. If you want evidence, look no further than the heating and cooling worker who arrived at my house for a routine air conditioning repair last week and threatened me before he climbed aboard his HVAC repair truck to leave. He was apparently very desperate for a positive heating and cooling technician rating, because he made sure to tell me that my AC unit would be in big trouble if I didn’t grant him 5-stars. This is just getting ridiculous.
