As a senior in high school, they made job fairs a mandatory area of our life class.
Our high school held job fairs for all the juniors plus seniors. The juniors were urged to go the job fairs plus see what all was available for them, but it was mandatory for seniors to attend. I’m not sure if they thought the people I was with and I were all lazy plus needed the push, even though I didn’t want to go. I wanted to spend a year off plus just relax, but the school had strange ideas. They had recruits from several colleges in attendance. There were people from the local plumbing companies, electricians, plus Heating plus A/C specialists. It seemed most people was giving out free brochures plus some trinket like a keychain to get us interested. The only people I appreciated talking to were the Heating plus A/C specialists. They had brochures, but you only took a single if you wanted to. Instead of talking about Heating plus A/C systems to me, they just shot the bull with us guys. I was impressed with how laid back they were. They absolutely acted like they appreciated their jobs, but not pushing it down our throats. I started asking questions about how much training you needed to be an Heating plus A/C specialist plus how much it pays. By the time the conversation was over, I realized they had sold me on becoming an Heating plus A/C specialist even though I had been the a single asking questions. Becoming an Heating plus A/C specialist was a fantastic choice for me, plus now I’m the a single talking to teenagers at the job fairs. I don’t guess if I’m as suave with my pitch as my professors were, but the people I was with and I get a lot of modern Heating plus A/C techs from the schools I go to.
