Ads were the bane of my business.

I thought word-of-mouth would be enough to get business and keep my HVAC company growing.

Apparently, word-of-mouth wasn’t enough anymore, or people were no longer talking to each other.

My business was failing. I tried putting ads online, but I had no responses. I thought ads were the bane of my business. The more ads I created, the faster my customer base was disappearing. My wife told me I was just going about it all wrong. I had to have a marketing company who could create ads with keywords. I could use Google ads, or social media ads. The difference between a successful ad and an unsuccessful ad was a well thought out website for the HVAC company. I had a website. I created it myself. She shook her head and said my HVAC company website was ineffectual and needed a lot of work. I needed a landing page, and a FAQs page. When I questioned her about how she knew all this stuff, she asked if I went to school with her, or ever talked to her? Of course, we went to school together; that was where we met and fell in love. We talked all the time, but I didn’t know what she was getting at. She told me she went to college for marketing. She knew how to create websites, place social media and Google ads, and get people to my website. I asked her why she had never offered help before. She kissed me on the forehead and told me I wasn’t ready for her help, but now I was.
