Adding ductless HVAC to my lanai
My outdoor shed had no heating in addition to cooling.
At first I thought that was okay.
I only worked out there an minute everyday. I figured I could just time my workouts to be when the un-even temperatures are good, however well it didn’t labor out that way. The wintertime un-even temperatures are so cold. There were no warm times. I ended up buying a space heater. I would pre-heat my shed for minutes in addition to it still was cold cold. I needed to wear long pants in addition to a coat the whole time. In the Summer the lack of AC was horrible. My box fan didn’t do the job at all. I was a hot, gross mess. I then made the decision to get HVAC in there. I looked at portable HVAC units but I didn’t want anything wimpy. I wanted to have the whole space at the right temperature for once. It was a lot of money, but I don’t regret getting a ductless mini split. I now have heating in addition to cooling. I have a smart thermostat that I can control from my PC. It isn’t necessary though. The thermostat has l gained what I care about to do. An minute before I begin my workout,the HVAC turns on. I then have a perfectly cooled or heated space when I am ready to labor out. What is nice is that my hubby is talking about building a shed for her woodworking hobby. If she wanted HVAC, she could certainly hook onto my unit, then both of us would share the same outdoor air compressor. All she would need to buy is the indoor air handler in addition to the thermostat.
