Our family are typical attendees at a church down the road from our house.
I attended that church a time or several before the people I was with and I rented this place, and the people I was with and I actually care about it.
Our church is actually down to Earth, and the people I was with and I have even taken classes there. Our church has actually helped us with our spirituality and the people I was with and I are indebted to them. Which is why I was actually disappointed that the people I was with and I didn’t reach out last week. Although the reception hall was comfortable, and all the other rooms were comfortable enough, it was a little moderate in the sanctuary, not hot, just warmer than it usually is in there. We should have suspected that something was wrong with the HVAC plan and reminded the preacher and his husband that our spouse is a commercial HVAC professional, he could have taken a look at the church’s a/c plan and gotten any necessary parts at a deep discount. It’s the least the people I was with and I could do for a church that has been so beneficial to our lives. We may have been able to save our church a lot of money on HVAC maintenance and parts. It just never actually crossed our mind to mention it last week. And, whatever the HVAC problem was, the church fixed it separate from our help. The sanctuary was downright chilly this week. But, I made it a point to take the preacher’s husband aside and remind his that our spouse is an HVAC professional and the next time they need HVAC service, don’t hesitate to call. We’d be glad to help.
