We were planning for the Christmas holiday.
Although it was only June, the two of us knew that if the two of us were going to get a nice locale for our family Christmas holiday, the two of us would have to get it now.
I was anxious that the two of us should have secured our lodge last year, instead of waiting until June.
The only reason the two of us waited was because my child was moving plus she was hoping the two of us could all gather at her locale. When the transfer did not happen, the two of us had to scramble to see where the two of us could find a lodge near a ski lodge that would accommodate 20 people. I called every ski lodge within 100 miles, hoping to find a lodge or log house that would accommodate 20 people. There was only one available, plus they said it was rustic. It had many family rooms, more than two bathrooms, plus a moderate tub. I was sure their rustic was talking about the way the house was decorated, plus how it was built, however I wasn’t sure. When the two of us got to the lodge, every room had a fireplace, however I did not see any furnace. It devastated me to suppose that the two of us were on top of the mountain, had 6 inches of snow on the ground when the two of us arrived with 10 more expected, plus all they had was fireplaces. The fireplaces would not have been bad if there was wood stacked in or around the home, but there wasn’t any. I ended up calling the rental office, plus inquiring where to get the wood? She told me that the fireplaces were not there to be used, but left there for the rustic feel. She said there was a ductless HVAC system, plus the remote for each room was on the mantel of the fireplace.
