We finally had enough money to do the work last winter
We spent money on the best purchase of our lives last Winter that just passed. We got heated floors for our home. We had been wanting to do this for a while and finally managed to save the cash to do so this past winter. The heated floors required little construction work before installation since we had a carpet which had to be removed in order to fix the heated floors. Thankfully, we had wood flooring underneath, so the carpet removal was all that was needed. Still, it cost a pretty penny just for that. However, the moment we had everything done and the heated floors were in, it made us warm that entire Winter. Frankly, we had the best indoor comfort around. We also saved some funds on energy use too because heated floors are mostly run by hot water pipes and don’t require much energy. The control component is the only item that takes any sort of energy. Now if only they had something like radiant floors for the air conditioner! Perhaps in the future as heat and air conditioning technology continues to advance something like that will be available for domestic use. We can only imagine if that ever happened how vexed the energy companies would be. They wouldn’t manage to rip off people anymore with an energy saver available in the market. At least we get to save money in winter because of the heated floors,which is a huge win.
