This was the best investment
I made what is possibly the best investment of my life this winter that just passed.
I had invested in getting radiant heated floors for my home. I had been wanting to do this for a while and just finally was able to get the money together to do so this past winter. The radiant heated floors required some minor construction work beforehand as I had carpet which had to be removed in order to get the radiant heated floors. Lucky for me I had wood flooring underneath, so the carpet removal was all I had to do. Still, it cost a pretty penny just for that! But once I had everything done and the radiant heated floors were in, it made me very warm this entire winter and I had the best indoor comfort around! I also saved a ton of money on energy use too because radiant heated floors are mostly ran by hot water pipes and do not require much energy. The thermostat is about the only thing that takes any sort of energy. Now if only they had something like radiant heated floors for air conditioning! Maybe in the future as heat and a/c technology continues to advance something like that will exist and be able to be installed. I can only imagine if that ever happened how angry the energy companies would be! They wouldn’t be able to rip off people anymore and take half of their hard worked money with an energy saver like that. At least I was able to save money this winter because of the radiant heated floors, so that was a good thing!
