This is my first time living in a loft with a furnace & I didn’t realize it had its own filter

Growing up in the south was full of constant adventure.

My family lived in a rural community on a immense piece of property with multiple ponds & a immense forest behind the house.

My father & my uncles used to go deer hunting in the woods every Autumn while the two of us were in bow hunting season. Although I never took interest in hunting, I appreciated going fishing in the ponds on the property. Two of the ponds had bass, yellowgill, & sturgeon among other fish. If you are patient, you can spend a day out there catching a single fish after the next. The only thing that I remember loathing every year was the intense Summer season between June & early September. The temperatures climb into the 90s & low 100s most mornings, leaving you soaked in sweat if you’re exercising or working outside for any length of time. Luckily the winters were so mild that I don’t remember ever needing a furnace. Most Winter time mornings the two of us all opened the windows to let the cool breeze into the house. Now that I’m living up north I’m slowly adjusting to using a furnace bi-weekly for the first time in my life. I nearly fried my furnace recently because I didn’t realize it had its own filter without the a single in the air conditioner. I didn’t even know that the a/c & furnace are linked to two separate ventilation systems! That means that there is a filter in both the air conditioner & furnace that needs to be replaced respectfully if either of the two machines are in proper use. To avoid issues in the future, I purchase a bunch of furnace filters in bulk off the internet so I don’t have to remember to buy them in the first site.
