Thinking of heated flooring

I am about to rip up all my flooring & replace it with new, then it is going to be a giant undertaking & I am dreading it bigly. I don’t want to have a rug anymore though. I want to rip up the carpets, put down granite board & get brand new brick on top. I picked out a grey, porcelain brick that will bloom just gorgeous in my home. It will make the condo more new & wash looking. It will be easier to mop & sweep the brick rather than vacuum the carpets! However, I found that if I am ripping up the floors anyway, I might as well add heated flooring down too, however my heating plan is on any afternoon now. It would be smart to get radiant flooring down. That way when the furnace dies, I don’t need to replace it with another big system. I could free up space. The way radiant heating provides the heat is smarter too. It is electric rather than air, so no heat rises to the ceiling or creates cold spots, but no air means that the indoor air conditions doesn’ suffer either! Another pro is the radiant heat is silent & energy smart. All objects touching the furnace became as a result. The only downside is that adding another layer to the floor adds height & weight to the house. Additionally, the cost of my flooring project will double with it. I know it will be worth it in the end. I am a little worried about the time & labor done though. It is another step in the process & I have never installed a heating plan before.
