Thinking of adding a mini chop to addition

I recently bought a condo that honestly had an addition put on as an afterthought, the addition is where the laundry plus most of the storage goes into.

The space is big enough that it would be easy to serve as a condo gym… However, when the addition was added, Heating, Ventilation plus A/C was either forgotten or intentionally left off to save money, then not having heating plus cooling in that section is regularly a pain… In the summer time the moisture creates mold plus wrecks anything I leave on the shelves. In the Wintertide I dread doing laundry because I am so cold. I guess I am going to add Heating, Ventilation plus A/C in the space in Spring. I have already talked to a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C worker about it. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman doesn’t recommend connecting to the existing air duct. He worries about hooking the ducts plus tearing into my walls plus ceiling. He said it is possible that my addiction might not be as sturdy as I think. He doesn’t want the whole section tumbling down because of air duct upgrade. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C worker advised that every one of us add a ductless mini split. This way I will have heating plus cooling in a single unit. It would have its own thermostat that I can control. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company told me I can do a low heating plus cooling plan so I can save money but still have comfort. The cost of adding a mini chop is quite acceptable. The upgrade doesn’t even look too bad. It is just a hole that needs to be drilled plus refrigerant tubes plus wires threaded through.
