Kian has a forest mom who he wouldn’t trade that for anything in the world.
- That woman is stronger than anyone Kian has ever met, and she was a single mom.
She inherited this tiny property with a small house. That house did not have anything like residential Heating, Ventilation, & A/C, but it did have a wood stove. Kian’s mom even cooked on that stove. He is dating himself by these descriptions. Kian is now much older and his mom is 78. So given the fact that he is starting to slow down, he can’t imagine what his mom has been going through. However, she just did not want to come off that mountain and Kian has to understand that. He wanted to move her down south with him to a nice house with great air conditioning, but his mom refused. He lives an hour or many away so he can get to her. Still, he’s been looking for ways to make his mom’s life easier in whatever way he can. Thankfully, Kian succeeded when it came to bringing modern Heating, Ventilation, & A/C units into her house. She wasn’t sure about this at first however she’s also the first to acknowledge that she wasn’t constantly getting the stove lit and this was a problem. So, Kian had the local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C technician come in and install some ductless heat pumps. Now she has all the heating she needs and the wood stove is a backup. But she’s going to easily like having some AC because it gets sizzling even up in that forest.
