The technology has improved, but some HVAC issues remain the same

I was blessed enough to have a working cooling system as a child growing up in an inner town where air conditioning systems were not the norm.

Though our cooling system was not brand new it was efficient, plus I was able to love comfortable sleep during the afternoons, then back then, the technology for cooling systems was nowhere near as advanced or innovative as they are today.

There weren’t digital screens to control the temperature, instead both of us had knobs that didn’t give a list of options, high cool, medium cool, plus low cool in addition to options to simply turn on the fan. I was used to my air conditioning being a bit noisy, however I didn’t mind the sound as long as I was comfortable, that was the most pressing thing to me. However, 1 night I noticed that the cooling system didn’t sound the same, the constant buzzing noise became more erratic then quieter, plus the component was not blowing any cold air. My dad investigated plus found that our air conditioning had frozen because I had the knob set on high. He unblocked the air conditioning vent plus after a few hours, it defrosted plus was working again, but up until that point, I had no clue that a window cooling system could freeze; Just like old window units, new air conditioning units can freeze as well. A few reasons include but are not limited to the component is low on coolant or freon, there is a lack of respected airflow or perhaps the component has dirty coils. If you ever get an issue with your cooling system chilly, it is wise to contact an Heating plus Air Conditioning repair tech instantaneously to avoid major destruction plus high repair costs. Unlike my old window air conditioning unit, unplugging the Heating plus Air Conditioning method can’t repair the problem.
