The storm disfigured the AC unit

My partner plus I live in a mobile house on the outside of town.

There is a 1-mile dirt road with lots of gray, black, plus white rocks.

There are trees scattered on the sides of the road. My partner plus I are the only people that live down the dirt road. We live 7 miles away from the closest grocery store plus gas station. If I want to go to the mall or a speciality store, it takes myself and others almost an hour. My partner plus I have a well for water plus a septic system for plumbing. The mobile house has been fixed up a lot, but it is still 40 years old. We do not have central heat or AC. Last weekend my partner plus I found out that the AC component was struck by a bolt of lightning. We were away for the weekend when the storm occurred. We came back house plus the AC component was off. My partner tried to turn on the power, but nothing happened. I tried to unplug the system plus plug it back in, but that did not help with the issue either. I called my dad plus he recommended that the weekend storm may have disfigured the AC unit. He told myself and others to check for a burn in the electrical line. My dad thought that the AC component had been struck by lightning. My partner plus I carefully looked at the AC component plus that’s when the people I was with and I found a burn mark the size of a quarter. It was located on the back of the component plus clearly the spot where a single bolt of lightning struck plus killed the machine.
