The hospital had an insanely cold air conditioner

I used to play a lot of hoops when I was a youngster, and it was always a nice time and I was officially practicing our new moves on the court.

I came up with all kinds of impressive moves to dominate the game and I could even jump high for our age, the only thing that made myself and others guess embarrassed sometimes was the fact that I had shoes that were passed down from our older sibling.

The shoes were not in awful condition per se, but everybody who knew our sibling knew that those were his shoes before they were mine. I begged our parents for some really nice Nike shoes and they said no for a long time, but eventually on my 12th birthday they got myself and others those as a surprise present. I was the happiest child alive and I instantly strapped up and laced our new shoes to go out there and impress the people with our moves. I was shaking people left and right, breaking ankles pretty much; and well, I ended up coming close to breaking my own ankle when our foot twisted the way it shouldn’t. I couldn’t walk and I ended up having to go to the hospital. What I remember about the hospital is that it was too cold inside with the air conditioning plan cranked up too high. I asked our parents to please tell those people to shut off the air conditioning system. I found out that they wouldn’t adjust the temperature control settings because of some deranged hospital policy. I recognize those people were just enjoying the air conditioning plan too much. When I finally was discharged, I was thankful to be out of the cold hospital and I was honestly careful when I got back on the court.
