Swung a deal to get a service instead
Typically when you see a florist they are a actually small family run business, however i live in a major neighborhood and our flower shop is giant… All of us give flowers for famous weddings, parties and major events, then the flowers need to be stored in a large enough and cold enough space for each purchaser too! Keeping the flowers cool allows them to stay fresh longer.
I didn’t realize until recently that what the supplier used was a chiller system.
The chiller is the large cooling system for our flower business. Recently the chiller just stopped working. I have never deduced a chiller service and had no clue what to do. The equipment was large and actually intimidating looking. I called around and all the Heating and A/C dealers in the area don’t do commercial cooling repairs. The only thing I could find was a chiller rental supplier that was typical with my particular unit. Typically you get a temporary chiller from them and pay month to month to keep it. It allows a supplier that is growing, not able to afford a chiller or testing out new models for a reduced price. I wasn’t sure if our chiller was done or not. I had to swing a deal to get 1 of their workers over to our facility to check on the system. They legitimately just wanted to set me up with a portable chiller, but I wanted to see if the new 1 could be repaired. Turns out it could and the service was a lot cheaper than what a chiller rental would be.
