Putting up a solid fence

My husband Ben and I bought a loft down south just over 5 years ago.

Every one of us were gleeful to move away from the snow and cold temperatures up north. The new loft wound up being affordable because it needed a great deal of work. Since Ben and I are both quite handy, neither of us had a problem renovating the bedroom and lavatorys, installing new floors and windows, painting and landscaping. Ben and I worked on our loft gradually and made everything just how both of us wanted it. For the first year, both of us had no neighbors. There was a very thick wall of vegetation along the border on each side of the loft that provided privacy. The loft to the south of us is owned by an older couple who are quiet and keep to themselves. The loft on the north was vacant until just recently. Since the original owners were asking a actually high price for a property in rotten condition, both of us never expected it to sell. However, a guy bought the place and instantly started chopping down the vegetation separating our properties. He unattached every tree, shrub, vine and leaf on that side of the property line. Suddenly, both of us could clearly see his loft and he could see into ours. Every one of us lost our privacy. My husband and I weren’t glad. Ben’s solution was to hire a fencing supplier, when the fencing company came by to provide an estimate, Ben told him that both of us wanted a fence tall, wide and solid enough to completely block all signs of our neighbor. The project was rather extravagant but worthwhile. In 2 days, an eight-foot high wooden fence was built.
