Our warm water oil furnace exploded Last yearand I never saw it coming.
I have had my warm water oil furnace for numerous years and it has never caused me any trouble.
When I first got it installed, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional who installed it told me to schedule 2 boiler inspections a year just to make sure the boiler was running properly. I kind of blew this off and only tied up one appointment in the last numerous years… A few days before the warm water boiler exploded, It was making some different sounds, however it was still heating my condo good and I figured it was no sizable deal. I looked up on an Heating, Ventilation & A/C website why my warm water boiler was making this sound, however there were so more than 2 unusual things it could be that I just figured I’d schedule a time for an Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional to come inspect the boiler himself, of course, being as tied up as I am, I forgot to schedule an appointment with my Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional and went about my day. A few days later my boiler was making really loud noises and it really scared me. I immediately called my Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional to schedule him to come inspect the boiler, however it was too late. While I was on the cellphone with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer, my boiler ruptured, sending tepid warm water everywhere and almost burning me. Luckily I was not hurt, however the boiler did a lot of water mangle to my house. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional came the next day and replaced my warm water boiler for me; From that day on I have been diligent in scheduling my boiler inspections.
