None of us had a credit card
I remember a long time ago when I took my buddies for a drive. We were just going to head to places like the mall or to a restaurant to enjoy some food. Well, while we were driving, we were laughing while I was adjusting the radio and the temperature control settings in the car. Everybody wanted to have the AC system cranking, and so I obliged. Unfortunately, I was distracted and didn’t realize that I went down the toll road. I thought it wouldn’t be such a big deal until I noticed that it said credit card only! I didn’t have a credit card and my friends didn’t have one either. We didn’t even have debit cards! I just sat there for awhile and it was aggravating because there was no way for me to turn around as it was a one way road. So my buddies said to just drive through and maybe they would send us something in the mail where we could pay the toll. It was crazy, as soon as we went driving, some kind of security vehicle came up behind us. I explained how I was adjusting the temperature control and didn’t realize I went to the toll road. The security people said there were no excuses and I owed them the max toll. I paid them the $10 that they were demanding and then went on my way. My buddies and I were kind of stressed out after that, but we were able to relax at a cozy restaurant where the cooling system was on point and the food was good. That made us feel better.
