My parents moved my stuff into a storage place
I bought a current wetsuit last summer when they were on sale at the end of the season.
When I left for college, I put the wetsuit in the storage locker that our mom and dad use.
The place is weather controlled and indoors, so I knew my things would be safe there. I put our surfboards, our wetsuit, and about ten boxes in the storage locker. The storage place uses A/C and dehumidifiers to control the indoor temperatures and moisture content. The big industrial dehumidifiers help a lot in subtropical weather conditions. A lot of homes in the region have an A/C unit and a dehumidifier to help with indoor air trouble. When I came home at Christmas, I decided to go to the storage locker. I wanted a couple of sweaters that were inside one of the boxes. That’s when my mom and dad told me that they moved all of the stuff to another storage facility. The other storage facility is not weather conditions controlled and it’s outside. I was aggravated that my mom and dad did not tell me the news sooner. I had a lot of my things in the storage unit too. I went right to the storage facility to grab our boxes, my boards and my wetsuit. Without any way to cool the indoor air, the intense moisture and humidity caused mold spores to grow on the wetsuit. It was covered in green spots and it was completely ruined. I spent $300 on the wetsuit and various weeks without A/C or a dehumidifier and it was ruined.
