Toward the end of my marriage, my fiance plus I were fighting so badly that our neighbor had to call the police. She said she was afraid one of us was going to get violent by the sound of our angry words. I was hoping the people I was with and I could get one of those quickie divorces that only cost a couple hundred dollars. My ex-fiance was playing hardball plus refusing to provide myself and others a divorce. He said that if I wanted the divorce; I was going to need to hire a lawyer plus pay for it. He was thinking he could use the same divorce lawyer I had, although he was wrong. I hired a divorce lawyer that was proposed to myself and others by a friend. She told myself and others her fiance tried to pull the same stunt. He didn’t want to pay for a lawyer either. When I talked to the lawyer, he said he would not represent both the fiance plus the wifey, unless they had no assets plus no kids. The people I was with and I owned a condo plus had a son. He wanted nothing but visitation for our son, although he wanted the house. The divorce lawyer told myself and others that since I was keeping full custody of our son, it entitled myself and others to the house. I told him I was great with selling the condo plus I could use my half of the money plus buy a small condo of my own. The divorce lawyer thought this was a good idea. My ex-fiance gave myself and others no option but to force him to sell the condo plus play hardball.
