Looking for house with natural air flow

You know what I’ve realized? Humans aren’t the only things that have unhealthy circulatory systems.

Sure, we’re prone to having congested heart failure, poor breathing quality, and hypertensive blood pressure, mostly due to poor lifestyle.

However, as easy as it is to rag on human beings and our inability to care for ourselves, we aren’t the only things that don’t work at maximal efficiency in this way. Actually, the older I get, the more I understand that it’s super hard to find a home with good circulation. As a child, I remember our home having a great deal of natural ventilation. We could open the windows in every room in order to establish a refreshing breeze of pure outdoor air, fresh off the corn fields that surrounded our town. There was no lack of high quality natural air in the house, and I accepted this as the norm. However, in every place I’ve lived ever since, there has not been the same quality of delightful outdoor air ventilation. I have consistently felt as though my windows were faulty, they allowed so little air movement between the indoor and outdoor spaces. No matter if one window is open, or every single path outdoors is accessible, there’s nearly no ventilation. This means we are continually running our indoor HVAC system to manage the air quality in our home. We never get to experience fresh, natural air indoors, and our energy bills never catch a break even during the comfortable seasons. I’m no home health expert, but I would recommend that contractors and architects take a closer look at the congestion that seems to plague our modern homes. It would be healthier for my bank account and breathing if we could get some fresh air in here.
