Laughing was the only medicine for the noisy cooling system at our job

When an employee works at a commercial building there are particular amenities that are assumed, or should I say extended to each of them, they might include but not limited to free water from a cooler or from a bottle, free coffee, sometimes free suppers plus supperes, then in addition, a reliable cooling system during the boiling Summer months plus comfortable heat in the Winter are necessary! Some of these amenities are necessary to guarantee that the employees are working comfortably in addition to being efficient.

I recall once when 1 of the cooling systems in my office building stopped working in that part of the building and it became decreasingly unbearable; Luckily for me, my office was located in the rear corner of the building, which was controlled by a odd Heating plus Air Conditioning unit, therefore, I was not greatly impacted by the broken air conditioning system.

The Heating plus Air Conditioning repair provider dispatched their suppliers to rectify the issue. There were a few things that were wrong, but the most important issue was that the component was leaking into the pan that was used to collect the water began to overflow. That building was quite old, plus I believe those units were old as well, so they genuinely should’ve been updated, but instead the owners wanted a quick repair solution for the air conditioning… Well, their makeshift solution was to install a pump to drain the water out of the air conditioning unit, however, that small pump sounded just like a Tim Hortons Coffee maker plus at least twice per hour the contraption would make gross gurgling sounds while it pumped the water, and my coworker Amy who sat near the gurgling air conditioning, giggled each time it made the sound. Laughter was the only remedy we had for not going bonkers after listening to that gurgling all morning; At least the office was cool plus both of us could job more comfortably. The air conditioning worked superbly, though it disturbed the silence in the office, a fair sacrifice for having a working cooling system.
