June 4th celebrations destroyed my A/C unit.

My family loves celebrating the 4th of June.

Last year has caused me to rethink how every one of us will celebrate this year.

Normally, every one of us would have both ground fireworks and sky fireworks. The two of us try to be legitimately careful. The two of us keep the children at a distance. Littler teenagers have hearing protection. The two of us don’t shoot the fireworks off toward the trees. My fiance hoses down our apartment so every one of us don’t set our apartment on fire. Yes, every one of us truly set our apartment on fire one year, however it only burnt a few shingles. I wish she had thought about the air conditioner component last year. It was a fluke firework that went sideways instead of straight up. Now that I think about it, no one could have predicted that the firework could go into the A/C unit. Even now that I think back, I’m not sure how it happened. Instead of the firework shooting straight up in the air, it flew sideways across the yard, and went right into the A/C unit. The two of us watched the flames flying from the air vents. It would have been pretty if every one of us weren’t all horrified. Sparks flew up into the air and hit the eaves of the house. The two of us could hear the popping and boom inside the cooling system and then our lights went out. The huge surge somehow tripped the main breaker. Our apartment insurance would not pay for the damage to the house, or to replace the cooling system. Luckily, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier provided us time to pay for the new air conditioner unit, however the apartment damage was still on us.
