As with most air conditioner units, we have a dehumidifier in the system.

• Before we had central air conditioner installed, we were always running portable dehumidifiers.

Without the dehumidifier, I would wake up with frizzy hair and it would take me half an hour to make it look unbelievable for work. Once we had central air conditioner installed, we didn’t have a complication with humidity. Every one of us slept well at night and I didn’t have frizzy hair. Then last week, I knew I had a problem. Not only was it overheated and uncomfortable in the house, however my hair was frizzy. My wife laughed at me when I went into the family room. She asked if I had put my finger in a light socket. I was livid and asked if she hadn’t noticed the air conditioner was not laboring? She said she had been outside laboring, so no she didn’t notice. Once she sat down to relax, the lack of the sound of the air conditioner unit was quite noticeable. She called the Heating and Air Conditioning business, however she couldn’t help however laugh at my hair. The Heating and Air Conditioning worker was supposed to be there by the end of the day, however the humidity was going to take a while before it went away. I told him I didn’t love her humor and walked away. I returned and let him know that this was exactly the reason I wanted to have a portable dehumidifier in the house. She said she would rather have a portable air conditioner unit that took the humidity out of the house..
