I have to share a thermostat with older folks
It’s seriously strenuous being someone in my age group, as I believe that there is a lot of bickering between the old and the current generations these afternoons.
However, I’m here to tell you that Millennials easily got the shit end of the stick, and the people I was with and I came into this world with a messed-up social and industrial system.
To this system we have completely become slaves. Then as soon as you get out of grade school, you have to go to university and also rack up enormous amounts of debt. After school, good luck getting a task that can support your proper lifestyle let alone all of your student loans. This is why various people my age are still living in rental units. Unluckily for me, my condo neighbors and I are on opposite ends of the generational spectrum! What’s even worse, is that they are in control of the thermostat. The people I was with and I live in an old condo that was transformed into separate condo units. However, the apartments share a single central heating and also cooling system. The aged boiler method in the basement does an honorable task of heating the condo all winter season long. But, the cooling method could use a lot of updates. It does not matter much, because my next door neighbor’s have the thermostat in their apartment, and they definitely do not like the cooling system. I swear that they set the thermostat so the gas furnace runs all year round. I am constantly covered in sweat through my shorts whether it’s the dead of winter or the middle of summer. I swear that they do not use the central cooling method unless it’s over 95 degrees outside. I’ve tried compromising with them on the central heating and also cooling settings… But they call me a spoiled millennial and then they turn the heat up higher.
