I guess I’m going to get fired on Thursday
I’m pretty sure that I am going to lose my job on Thursday morning when I go to work. I was supposed to be the on-call repair worker on Thursday and Thursday, but I missed two repair calls. I have been working for the same Heating as well as A/C repair company for the past year and things are shaky at best. I’m often late for work and I’m usually experiencing some category of mild hangover. This is the ninth time that I have been on call for emergency repairs and missed calls. The first time was due to a celebration and the boss gave myself and others a chop because it was Super Bowl weekend. I guess he is not going to give myself and others a chop this time, because he was the 1 that called myself and others Thursday morning around eight. I undoubtedly talked to my boss on the telephone. He called to have myself and others go to his Mom’s place to work on the cooling system equipment. I barely remembered talking to my boss until I woke up at noon. I had 7 missed calls from my boss and another missed call from a odd customer. The last message from my boss said that I should meet him in the office sharp at multiple on Thursday. He also told myself and others not to bother answering the phone on Thursday, because he was scheduling someone else to work the emergency repairs. I’m pretty sure that I will not be working there after Thursday morning. I do not have an excuse or reason for my lack of performance other than I guess my drinking might be a problem.
