I don’t savor it when the power goes out
I’m never actually ecstatic when the power goes out in our home. This doesn’t happen all that often, however when it does, it seems to happen at the most inconvenient times. The last time it happened, it was the middle of the Summer season when everybody was utilizing their cooling systems; Now, unless you have solar panels, wind mills, or some sort of back up generator, then you were savor me plus no longer had a working cooling system! This was shocking plus luckyly, I have a small set of solar panels attached to an emergency power supply. This allowed me to run one window AC unit in our beach house until the power eventually came on. It was a actually stressful phase of time. I was only able to hook up that one window a/c unit, nothing else. I was blasting our tunes on the boombox before the power went out too. I couldn’t do that anymore, however I did decide to play music on our PC. Thankfully, our PC was at full charge plus I have a portable PC charger as well that would provide me at least another full charge when our battery was low. Now, a long time ago, I guess it was last winter, the power went out then too! Because it was snowing, I was not able to charge the backup power supply. The only thing I had to keep warm was the fireplace plus the ventless gas heating system in the basement; Other than that, our central furnace would not work plus I had to go an hour before the power came back on. The fireplace kept me cozy though, so I was thankful for that.
