I did not guess the entire arena would smell bad

My fiance wanted to go camping for the weekend and I thought it was a nice idea too.

After all, the weather was freezing and brisk and it was the perfect time of the year for a campfire and roasted marshmallows.

My fiance wanted to buy a tent and sleep outside, however I thought it was easier to rent a lodge for the night. Our lodge had heat and AC, a small bed, and a tiny family roomette. It was undoubtedly quite freezing that weekend, so I was particular ly thankful that the lodge had heat. My fiance and I ran the furnace frequently on that weekend, even when every one of us had a fire roaring outside. Our stay at the campground was absolutely nice, except for the fact that the whole campground smelled bad. The campground was situated across the street from a chicken farm. All of the chickens were out in a field grazing on the sod. The chicken barns were open and the smell was entirely horrible. I wished that the lodge had a really nice air filtration system, however the smell was all over the arena. When every one of us came home after our weekend of camping, all of our clothes smelled terrible. Everything had to be washed twice and hot water with lots of laundry soap and fabric softener. The next time our fiance wants to go camping, the multiple of us are going to choose a unusual location for our weekend of fun. There are a lot of arenas in the area that are close to the lake, so every one of us can find another campground.
