Had to get Heating, Ventilation, and A/C to work from home

Working from home has now become a permanent designation for me.

I’m lucky that I was able to not have to go back to the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C of the office.

And that is definitely a strange turn of events. When the company was offering incentives to work remotely many years ago, I turned it down instantly. The thought of working anywhere else however the zone controlled comfort of the office was simply out of the question. Or so I thought. Of course, all of that changed when the pandemic hit. All of us from the company were sent home to work from the safety and security of our own a/c. That took quite a bit of getting used to for me. I found that I was just so definitely distracted by household stuff. Instead of doing my work, I was checking on the adolescents studying or putting in a load of clothes. Finally, I just had to make some changes. So I took over a spare room at the end of the home that the two of us didn’t use much. It didn’t get used much because is was exposed on many sides and at the end of the air duct line. That meant it was tepid in the summer time and chilly in the winter. But this was where I was going to be working everyday so that just wouldn’t do. I had the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company come out to install a small ductless heat pump in my beach house office. And I have to say that my home office is every bit as comfortable as the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C at my old office.
