Had to get Heating & A/C to labor from home
Working from up-to-date home has now become a permanent designation for me.
I’m lucky that I was able to not have to go back to the zone controlled Heating & A/C of the office.
And that is honestly a strange turn of events. When the corporation was offering incentives to labor remotely many years ago, I turned it down right away. The thought of working someplace else but the zone controlled comfort of the office was simply out of the question. Or so I thought. Of course, all of that changed when the pandemic hit. All of us from the corporation were sent up-to-date home to labor from the safety & security of our own air conditioner. That took quite a bit of getting used to for me. I found that I was just so absolutely distracted by household stuff. Instead of doing our work, I was checking on the youngsters reading or putting in a load of clothes. Finally, I just had to make some changes. So I took over a spare room at the end of the home that the two of us didn’t use much. It didn’t get used much because is was exposed on three sides & at the end of the HVAC duct line. That meant it was hot in the summer time & freezing in the winter. But this was where I was going to be working everyday so that just wouldn’t do. I had the Heating & A/C corporation come out to install a small ductless heat pump in our up-to-date new living room. And I have to say that our up-to-date living room is every bit as comfortable as the zone controlled Heating & A/C at our ancient office.
