Giant mud wasp nest on the porch

My husband & I used to have a small house with a screened lanai.

That is where the more than one of us would kneel to read, eat our breakfast & chat, however when both of us purchased our forever home, it came with a covered porch, it wasn’t screened however it was much greater. The more than one of us prefer our front porch. You can see the squirrels playing, watch the pigeons fly & see the cars go down the road. The only disadvantage is that insects can now get into our resting area. I am always knocking down webs, cleaning the siding & destroying bee nests. There are certain spots on the porch roof that wasps prefer to form nests. The moment it gets a little frosty or dark, I take our broom handle & knock it down. I even tried painting the roof to get the wasps to stop coming, however no such luck. What is horrible is right now there is a mud wasp forming a nest on our roof. I keep waiting for him to finish before I unaffix it. The nest is big & getting greater by the afternoon. I am a little distraught about what I will uncover once I rip it down. If I leave the nest too long it might damage our roof. I am wondering if a professional bee removal supplier might be the better answer. I am sure they can unaffix a mud wasp nest separate from leaving a bunch of residue. They have special unit to soothe the bees & not get stung.
